Qualifications

• Professional experience on a variety of film and video projects including music videos, short films, electronic press kits, television shows, and documentaries.
  
• Experienced with Standard and High Definition video formats, 24p/24pA DV, Panasonic P2 editing, and HDV.
• Professional experience using Avid Media Composer, Avid Xpress Pro, and Apple Final Cut Pro. Additional experience with Adobe Premiere Elements, Sony Vegas, and Media 100.
• Experienced with Adobe After Effects including motion tracking, sky replacement and color correction, bezier masks, time remapping, and blue/green screen compositing.
• Trained in 8-plate Steenbeck 16mm flatbed editing and all aspects of a film cutting room.
• Trained in audio post-production using DigiDesign Pro Tools including ADR recording and editing, foley and sound effects design, and music editing.
• Experienced with Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, and Linux operating systems.
• Professional experience with web-based distrubition of Flash, Quicktime, and Windows Media video content including advanced features such as closed captioning, audio description, play-lists, and multiple video streams for different connection speeds.

Documentary - Nashville Puppet Festival - Editor

Edited multi-cam performance and interviews footage as part of an editorial team on a 23 minute documentary. Prototype Media, October 2008 - Present.

Web - On the Road with Jamey Johnson - Editor

Sole editor of an ongoing 3-6 minute weekly web seies following Grammy nominated singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson as he travels and performs. Universal Music Group Nashville New Media, January 2009 - Present.

Short Film - My Neighbors Are Crazy - Editor, Sound Designer, Visual Effects

Directed and edited a 16mm short that was edited in 1080p HD using the Avid DNxHD175 codec. Created titles in Avid Marquee. Visual Effects work consisted of grain reduction/removal, painting out film equipment, and creating a complex storm scene with digital rain and artificial clouds. Created a stereo sound track. Watkins Film School, Fall 2008.

Short Film - Mississippi Sound - Editor

Short 16mm drama directed by Ryan Blake George. Edited mixed 1080p telecine footage with 720p HD footage from  an HVX-200 P2 camera. Synched and organized dailies and edited into a 12 minute short film. Also created and animated titles using Avid Marquee. Watkins Film School, Fall 2008.

Web - Universal Music Group Nashville New Media Division - Editor

Edited a variety of web featurettes, electronic press kits, and promotional videos for major country artists including Sugarland, Julianne Hough, and Ashton Shepherd. UMG Nashville, Spring 2008 - Present.

Television - John & Kate Plus 8: Oprah Here We Come - Assistant Editor

Recut interviews based on producers notes, prepared b-roll for the editor, and edited 15 second teases for the second and third acts. Stacie Schwarz, March 2008.

Short Film - Cast Me If You Can - Editor

Short 16mm comedy film directed by John Ignomirello. Digitized and synced dailies, prepared for script intergration, and edited picture through multiple revisions into a 10 minute film. Also performed color correction and titles. Watkins Film School, Spring 2008.

Television – CMA Music Festival – Assistant Editor

Assisted editors at Storyville Post by digitizing, logging, and multi-clipping footage. Storyville Post, June 2007

Internship – Storville Post – Intern Editor

Edited a five minute electronic press kit for country artist Bridgette Tatum. Storyville Post, Spring 2007
